For Sale | Mid-Century Modern in Muskegon's Beachwood Community

In the tucked-away neighborhood of the Beachwood Community of Muskegon, Michigan, this mid-century modern gem shines on Boltwood Drive. Sitting right in front of the hill, this multi-level home certainly stands out from the rest with its huge windows, red brick accents and gray wood fa├žade.

While some local mid-century modern homes are one-offs, and "stand alone" examples of mid-century architecture, this entire community has a mostly mid-century flair. Not all of the homes are as modern, but this is certainly a unique community for our area.

I stopped by today, knowing it was empty, as it's a foreclosure, and had the opportunity to speak with the next door neighbor, who built her home 50 years ago. She said the community is fantastic, and it's a great, quiet neighborhood to raise a family.

The weather today was rainy, but I walked around the house as much as I could and peeked inside the windows. And even with a plethora of slush in the drive, I could imagine how fantastic this house would be if restored properly. At $165k, it really is a great price for this property.

Oh, and my personal favorite part? You can literally hear the Lake Michigan waves crashing onto the beach on the other side of the hill. I kid you not.

Check out the actual listing for more photos, and more information.
